Tarryl Clark is hitting the road.
Running for Congress in Minnesota's sixth congressional district, Tarryl is gearing up to take on right-wing extremist Cong. Michele Bachmann this fall. Tarryl is kicking off her campaign with a district-wide tour, planning to meet with voters and get out her message along the way.
Here are a couple of photos from her "Working for You" tour:
Lt. Gov. Diane Denish knows that the more open and accountable a government is, the better it runs. That's why she announced her support this week of a bill to make information about New Mexico's government available online.
Stephen Colbert had plenty to say about former Cong. Harold Ford's potential challenge to EMILY's List candidate Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand in New York. And he said it in a way only Stephen Colbert can...

When it comes to something new and different, the GOP doesn't seem interested.
It's been more than a decade since Republicans kicked off their "Contract with America" campaign, and it looks like they're eager to revisit a tried-and-true approach.

EMILY's List candidate Cong. Suzanne Kosmas (FL-24) met with survivors of the Haitian earthquake disaster after they landed in central Florida recently. She thanked Red Cross staff and volunteers during her visit and spoke about the encouraging outpouring of support she has seen from Americans in the face of such tragedy.
Working across the aisle sure doesn't come naturally for far right-wing Cong. Michele Bachmann. Apparently, even listening across the aisle is too much to ask of the congresswoman known for antics such as encouraging constituents to boycott the 2010 census.
In a message to EMILY's List members today, President Ellen R. Malcolm reminded us that this week is the 37th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, something we should all be sure to remember -- this week and as we look at the tough challenges that lie ahead during midterm elections to protect women's reproductive rights.
Here's a note from Ellen's message:
We knew far right-wing GOP Cong. Michele Bachmann was buddies with former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin -- and it definitely looks like the friendship is paying off.
Bachmann's camp announced today that Palin will join her on the campaign trail this April for her MN-06 re-election campaign.
